Yes, Vermont is a landlocked state, particularly St. Albans, so no we’re not on the ocean, but we do however have fantastic seafood at Jeff’s Maine Seafood. It’s New England, so how could we not?
Jeff’s Maine Seafood found its home on the corner of Bank and Main Streets in Downtown Saint Albans more than 30 years ago, serving locals and travelers from far and wide. A fine dining experience encompassing world-wide flavors and tastes, they boast a top-notch wine list, or for a more casual setting, visit Jeff’s Lounge for a quick bite or drinks with friends.
The restaurant is open five days a week, Tuesday thru Saturday for lunch and dinner service, and on Sundays for special holidays like Mother’s Day and Easter. Jeff’s Lounge is also open every night Tuesday thru Saturday.
When you walk in, you’re greeted by a familiar face, often times Katie, and invited in to relax, enjoy, and experience. You might hear a jovial laugh from a table nearby, and you’ll often find families celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or another event.

The Many Transformations of Jeff’s
Jeff’s has undergone many transformations, getting its beginnings as a retail seafood truck Jeff came to the city three times a week over 40 years ago bringing fresh lobsters from Maine. Katie Walsh took over the reins in December 2015.

Jeff’s has three rooms, the main dining room, the middle dining room, and Jeff’s Lounge.
The Main Dining room has several tables and booths, and a full bar where you can eat and have a drink. if there is a special seat you’d like to sit, just ask, and they’ll do their best to accommodate your request.
The Middle Dining room is perfect for a large group celebrating an event or holding a meeting or social event. The one long table down the middle creates a unique dining experience, and if your party needs more than that, booths and tables fill the room.
The third room, now Jeff’s Lounge is a remarkable spot with a beautiful handcrafted bar and fish tank above; the space can host small 35-40 person private party.

You’ll likely see Katie buzzing around, talking to folks at tables, and making sure you are having the experience you expected. You’ll probably run into her strong network of family and friends who undoubtedly play a role in the success of Jeff’s.
Just like any other business, you become a jack-of-all-trades as an owner, wearing many hats, but having a support system like this one alleviates some of that stress. Between family and friends coming to fix, clean, or do whatever is needed, plus her ability to take on any task, getting things done is never a problem.
Katie also credits having a staff that is reliable, dependable, and willing to take the initiative to help as well.
Jeff’s Employees Set the Restaurant Apart
The front of the house, the people you see, the servers, bartenders, and hosts mostly have been here for several years. Some of them starting in high school and coming in during school breaks, others who love it here at Jeff’s and keep coming back to see the delight of their customers.

The back of the house is up to the chef’s to bring you the high quality and flavorful foods you expect at a fine dining restaurant. They are always developing new and creative menu ideas to please your palate. Katie encourages the kitchen to try new flavors and use the specials menu to experiment with different dishes and ingredients.

Serving More than Seafood
Jeff’s Maine Seafood leads you to think they only provide a seafood menu, we’re here to tell you there is so much more The menu at Jeff’s is robust, and likely something for everyone in your group. In addition to seafood, you’ll find chicken, steak, burgers, pasta, gluten-free, and vegetarian options.
Jeff’s make most of their desserts in-house but also features specialty desserts from nearby Evelyne’s On Center. The chef’s take pride in their housemade focaccia bread served with an entree and salads.
Catering by Jeff’s Maine Seafood
If you’d like more than a dining experience, Jeff’s offers catering in-house or at a location of your choice. You can choose a heavy appetizers menu, or select from a wide range of dinner plates, salads, and their housemade desserts.
Regardless, the entire restaurant at Jeff’s works to make sure the food is the best, the service is impeccable, and your experience goes beyond your expectations.
