From Interstate 89

Take Exit 19 (St. Albans) from either direction.
 

Follow Route 7 North for 2.5 miles—you'll see downtown on your right.

The whole trip from exit to Main Street takes about 5 minutes.

Montreal: 1 hour 20 minutes south via I-89

St. Albans Station, an easy walk from downtown, offers daily service to major East Coast cities.

 

The southbound train departs mid-morning with stops in Southern Vermont and Connecticut en route to New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Northbound service arrives in the evening.

The recently restored bus service provides connections to Montreal, Boston, and New York. The station on Main Street is right in the heart of downtown.

Downtown St. Albans was built for walking. Every restaurant, shop, and attraction sits within a five-minute walk of central parking. Our historic Main Street features level sidewalks, marked crosswalks, and plenty of benches when you need a rest. Taylor Park provides a natural center point for orientation.

Biking

We're increasingly bike-friendly, with racks throughout Downtown and direct access to the Missisquoi Rail Trail that starts right here. The trail offers 26+ miles of converted railroad bed perfect for all skill levels. Bootlegger Bikes on Main Street provides rentals, repairs, and local trail knowledge.

Accessibility

Most downtown businesses offer street-level access or ramps. The parking garage includes elevator access as well as designated accessible parking spaces both on-street and in lots. Contact individual businesses for specific accommodation needs.
